Top 5 RSYH goals image_SK Hoffman March post

In the middle of 2010, the top thing I did to reshape my health was to make the commitment of being 100% gluten free.  You may or may not know this about me, but I have a form of colitis and an inflamed esophagus. Reshaping my health began with a gluten-free diet. For me, it ended up being the first of many things I would do to reshape my health. Taking this step allowed me to dive even further into reshaping my health for 2011. It has allowed me to try new things due to more energy and it has changed my outlook on life for the better, while allowing me to appreciate food like never before!

The first step in this journey is always the toughest!

I wondered about this first step and how other people viewed it as it relates to a reshape in their health. So I took the question to the community and asked various people, What do you think is the best way to #Reshape Your Health?I am continuously inspired by what others say. This time was no different!

The Top 5 #Reshape Your Health Goals

1.  “Start by reshaping your mind. Your body will follow.” (@nomorebacon)

2.  “Join a class or a team that you pay to join. It will guilt you into going.” (@sarmichirps)

3.  “First you have to make it a focus. It’s easy to be unhealthy.” (Mike Schneider)

4.  “For me it has been my children! I want to be here and be healthy so I can be here longer for them! I have three young girls who need to see how important it is to stay healthy. It’s tough, but the years I will spend with them will be worth it.” (Steph Bartelt)

5.  “Getting comfy in my own skin and embracing who I am….misfit and all.” (Carla Birnberg)

It’s interesting to me that when asked the question, most people didn’t immediately mention a specific idea such as, “be gluten free” or “lose ten pounds.” What they mentioned were “building blocks:” changing the mind, focusing, thinking of children and embracing oneself.

Perhaps this is the secret ammunition for the first step. Dig deep. Get to the core. Reshaping your health won’t happen overnight, so understanding the root of the “why” is a critical element. Once that is determined, the details and the “how to’s” can be implemented.

Since I never really took that approach from the beginning, how about joining me today? The first step in this journey is always the toughest! Think about it…. What do you think is the best way to #Reshape Your Health?”
